Lufthansa Achieves Historic Revenue Milestone

Deutsche Lufthansa AG has reported a remarkable 7.8% increase in its fourth-quarter revenue for fiscal 2024, reaching an impressive €9.4 billion. This growth contributes to the company's record-breaking full-year revenue of €37.6 billion, marking a 6% rise from the previous year.

Financial Highlights and Future Outlook

The aviation giant also disclosed a 7% increase in operating income for the quarter, totaling €10.4 billion. Despite a significant 666.7% surge in earnings per share (EPS) to €0.46 for the quarter, the annual EPS saw a 17.9% decrease to €1.15. CFO Till Streichert expressed optimism for the upcoming year, anticipating a 4% capacity growth to bolster revenue, secure market shares, and enhance operational efficiency, albeit acknowledging ongoing challenges such as aircraft delivery delays and cost pressures.
