On Monday, the Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Bureau took a giant leap forward by announcing a comprehensive three-year action plan. This initiative is set to accelerate the development of embodied intelligent robots, marking a significant milestone in the field of AI robotics.

Strengthening Core Technologies and Industry Ecosystem

The primary objective of this ambitious plan is to enhance core AI robotics technologies. Furthermore, it aims to cultivate a thriving industry ecosystem, potentially generating over ¥100 billion ($13.9 billion). This effort underscores Shenzhen's commitment to becoming a global leader in robotics and AI.

Key Goals and Strategic Support

Among the key goals are achieving breakthroughs in AI chips, dexterous robotics, and multimodal perception technology. Additionally, the government plans to bolster the growth of over 10 companies, each valued above ¥10 billion, and to create more than 50 large-scale application scenarios. This strategic support is designed to ensure the successful implementation and widespread adoption of advanced robotics technologies.
