Byju Raveendran on EY’s Role in Insolvency: ‘No Escape for Those Involved’
Byju’s founder and CEO, Byju Raveendran, has once again brought to light claims of collusion within the company’s insolvency proceedings. He asserts that newly submitted evidence to the court reveals EY India acted on behalf of GLAS Trust in what he describes as a 'massive fraud.'

In an exclusive interview, Raveendran shared that the whistleblower documents circulating online contain the same evidence he referenced in a recent LinkedIn post, which was briefly removed before being restored. With a hearing at the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) scheduled, Raveendran is confident that the submitted emails and documents will expose the extent of EY’s involvement.
Insights from the Interview
When asked if he ever suspected EY of representing or working for the Glas trust, Raveendran responded affirmatively, expressing suspicions of foul play from the beginning. He emphasized the importance of investigating the evidence, particularly the emails from EY, which are not mere screenshots but attachments.
Regarding the whistleblower documents and LinkedIn post, Raveendran clarified that the LinkedIn post was meant to pave the way for Byju's to make a comeback. He believes it's only a matter of time before the true nature of the fraud is revealed.
Despite the company being under insolvency, Raveendran remains determined to fight back. He has filed documents and evidence with the NCLAT, confident that the truth will come to light during the hearing. He challenges EY to clarify their role and insists that in court, the truth cannot be hidden.
Raveendran concluded by stating that the submissions to the court are not just based on whistleblower comments but include substantial evidence. He believes that when all pieces are connected, the full picture of what happened will be clear, promising a revealing court session on Tuesday.
