In February, Germany's annual inflation rate stayed constant at 2.3%, as reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) in its final analysis released on Friday.

Monthly and Harmonized CPI Insights

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) observed a 0.4% increase on a monthly basis. Similarly, the Harmonized Consumer Price Index (HCPI), which excludes the volatile food and energy sectors, remained steady at 2.8% compared to January, with a monthly growth of 0.6%.

Sector-Specific Price Movements

Food prices saw a 2.4% increase, whereas energy costs continued their downward trend, decreasing by 1.8%. In contrast, services experienced a significant rise, with prices going up by 3.8%.
