The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) has reported that Germany's annual inflation rate stayed at 2.3% in February, according to the final report published on Friday. This stability in the inflation rate reflects the ongoing economic conditions within the country.

Monthly and Harmonized CPI Insights

On a monthly basis, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) experienced a 0.4% increase. Meanwhile, the Harmonized Consumer Price Index (HCPI), which excludes the volatile categories of food and energy, maintained its position at 2.8%, mirroring January's figures, with a monthly growth of 0.6%.

Detailed Sector Analysis

Breaking down the sectors, food prices saw an upward trend with a 2.4% increase. In contrast, energy costs continued their downward trajectory, decreasing by 1.8%. The services sector, however, marked a significant rise of 3.8%.
