Nationwide has confirmed delays in processing some payments, although direct debits and standing orders were not impacted. The bank reassured customers that all transactions are in a queue and will be processed shortly. First Direct also reported issues with its online and mobile banking platforms, affecting payment services.

Efforts to Resolve the Issue

Lloyds Banking Group, the parent company of Lloyds Bank, Halifax, and Bank of Scotland, has issued an apology for the inconvenience caused and is actively working to fix the problem. Similarly, TSB is making efforts to restore its services to normal.
