Mumbai Airport Introduces Cashless Digital Payment for Enhanced Parking Experience
Mumbai-Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has taken a significant leap towards digital transformation by introducing an automated digital payment system for its Multi-Level Car Parking (MLCP). This innovative approach is designed to streamline the payment process, reduce waiting times, and offer a seamless parking experience to its users.

In alignment with the Digital India initiative, the airport now allows parking payments through various digital platforms including mobile wallets, debit/credit cards, UPI, and other online payment methods. Additionally, FASTag counters have been installed at all customer lanes to expedite entry and exit processes, enabling FASTag users to enjoy an automated parking experience without the need for manual transactions.
With 66% of users already preferring FASTag and a significant shift towards cashless transactions, CSMIA aims to further minimize cash usage by promoting digital payment methods among its passengers. However, for those who still prefer cash payments, designated central payment stations are available to accommodate their needs.
