On Thursday, OpenAI unveiled an early version of GPT-4.5, setting a new benchmark for AI models. This release signifies a monumental leap in AI technology, showcasing the most advanced model to date.

Enhanced Capabilities and Accuracy

"We're excited to introduce a research preview of GPT-4.5—our most extensive and efficient model for chat interactions. GPT-4.5 represents a significant advancement in both pretraining and post-training processes," OpenAI announced in a blog post. The update boasts improved recognition capabilities, a reduction in hallucinations, and better adherence to instructions.

Compared to its predecessor, GPT-4o, GPT-4.5 demonstrates a remarkable improvement with a 62.5% factual accuracy rate, up from 38.2%, and a reduced hallucination rate of 37.1%, down from 61.8%. These enhancements solidify GPT-4.5's position as OpenAI's most dependable model yet.
