Lyft Inc. has proudly announced a remarkable 27% increase in its fourth-quarter revenue for the fiscal year 2024, amassing a total of $1.6 billion. This significant growth marks a substantial recovery from the previous year's net loss, showcasing the company's robust financial health and strategic prowess.

Record-Breaking Year for Lyft

The entire year of 2024 was a landmark period for Lyft, with a 31% revenue surge compared to 2023, culminating in $5.8 billion. The company not only reversed its fortunes by posting a net income of $22.8 million but also saw its gross bookings escalate by 17% to $16.1 billion. Furthermore, Lyft's diluted earnings per share (EPS) stood at $0.06, a stark improvement from the previous year's losses per share of $0.88.

"2024 was merely the inception of our multi-year strategy, and we've already exceeded all our investor day targets," stated Erin Brewer, Lyft's Chief Financial Officer. Despite this optimistic outlook, Lyft's Class A Common Stock experienced a 10.28% drop in after-hours trading following the earnings release, indicating a mixed reaction from the market.
