Wall Street Sees Red as Dow Jones Takes a Dive
In a dramatic turn of events on Friday, Wall Street's major indexes extended their losses, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average plunging more than 400 points. This downturn came amidst growing concerns over the Trump administration's tariff policies, particularly after reports surfaced of potential reciprocal duties on trading partners. Investors also reacted to the latest jobs report, which revealed that the US added 143,000 nonfarm payrolls in January, falling short of analysts' expectations.

By 2:11 pm ET, the Dow Jones had slid 0.92%, or 410 points, while the Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 also saw significant declines, dropping 1.21% and 0.92% respectively. The euro also felt the impact, losing 0.56% against the dollar to sell for 1.03314 by 2:17 pm ET.
