Amazon Faces Legal Setback in Patent Dispute with Nokia
In a landmark decision, the Duesseldorf Regional Court has ruled that Amazon.com Inc. has infringed upon a patent owned by Nokia Corp. This patent is crucial for streaming services, and the court's decision mandates Amazon to cease its use immediately.

Nokia expressed its satisfaction with the ruling in a statement to Wirtschaftswoche, a German magazine, hoping that Amazon would comply with the court's decision and agree to a license on fair terms. This legal battle began in 2023 when Nokia initiated lawsuits against Amazon in several jurisdictions, including Germany, the United Kingdom, and the European Union's Unified Patent Court.
