Wall Street Faces Downturn as Tariff Concerns Resurface
On Friday, the United States' major stock exchanges shifted into the red, marking a significant downturn after a mostly flat opening. The change in momentum was largely attributed to the intensification of tariff fears, with US President Donald Trump hinting at the possibility of imposing reciprocal tariffs on trading partners as early as today. This move aligns with his campaign promise to respond in kind to any tariffs placed on American exports.
