China's Manufacturing PMI Signals Slower Growth in January

According to the latest report from the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP), the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) Purchasing Manager's Index (PMI) for manufacturing in China has indicated a slight expansion in January. The headline figure stood at 50.1, which, while still above the critical 50-point threshold that separates expansion from contraction, shows a decrease from the previous month's 50.5.
This subtle shift suggests a deceleration in the manufacturing sector's growth, raising questions about the underlying factors contributing to this trend and its potential impact on the global economy.
