Intel Corporation has reported a 7% decrease in its fourth-quarter revenue for the fiscal year 2024, totaling $14.3 billion. The GAAP diluted loss per share was noted at $0.03, a significant 105% drop from the previous year.

Annual Revenue and Future Projections

For the full year, Intel's revenue stood at $53.1 billion, a 2% decrease compared to the previous year. The GAAP diluted loss per share for 2024 was $4.38, a stark contrast to $0.40 in the prior year. Looking ahead, Intel anticipates its first-quarter 2025 revenue to be between $11.7 billion and $12.7 billion.

Leadership's Perspective on the Results

"Our cost reduction plan, announced last year, is beginning to show its impact on improving the company's trajectory," stated David Zinsner, Intel's interim co-CEO. He attributed the Q1 outlook to "seasonal weakness" compounded by economic uncertainties, inventory adjustments, and competitive pressures.
