New Takeover Proposal for Paramount Global
Paramount Global has once again become the target of a takeover attempt by Project Rise Partners (PRP), a consortium of investors that previously sought to acquire the company. According to a report by Variety, PRP has submitted a new proposal valued at $13.5 billion, significantly higher than the $8 billion offer made by Skydance Media.
Details of the PRP Offer
The PRP proposal offers $19 per share for the B shares, which is a 75% premium and 27% more than Skydance's offer of $15 per share. The offer for the A shares remains unchanged from Skydance's proposal. Additionally, PRP plans to add $2 billion to Paramount's balance sheet. This all-cash offer is backed by committed financing from credible investors, making it a superior option according to PRP.
