Globally, the dollar has steadied against major currencies as markets await more concrete announcements on tariffs from US President Donald Trump. The dollar index, which measures the currency against six top rivals, remained flat at 108.25, following two days of minimal gains.
This steadiness comes after a significant 1.2% tumble on Monday, marking the steepest one-day slide since November 2023. This volatility highlights the impact of political decisions on global currency markets.
