Asia-Pacific Markets Show Mixed Responses to Economic Indicators
Following the release of Japan's trade surplus data and South Korea's GDP report, Asia-Pacific stock exchanges experienced varied movements. China's strategic decision to bolster equity markets by encouraging state-owned insurers to invest significantly in stocks added another layer of complexity to the regional economic landscape.
In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite saw a notable increase, while the Shenzhen Composite experienced a slight decline. Meanwhile, Hong Kong's Hang Seng and South Korea's Kospi Composite both faced downturns. Contrastingly, Japan's Nikkei 225 enjoyed a rise, and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 ended the day lower.
The currency market remained stable, with the dollar trading flat against the yen.
