Recent Trends and Predictions

Indian equity benchmark indices experienced a significant decline on Tuesday, affected by sustained FII selling, uncertainty regarding Trump's trade policies, and underwhelming Q3 results from various companies.

"A sustained close above these resistance levels would be essential to negate the prevailing bearish sentiment and confirm a bullish reversal. Given the heightened market volatility, traders are advised to remain cautious and implement strict stop-loss measures to protect their capital," said Hardik Matalia of Choice Broking.

Global Market Impact

US stocks advanced on Tuesday, with S&P 500 and Dow reaching month-high levels as investors evaluated Donald Trump's initial presidential actions, particularly noting the absence of widespread tariff increases.

Asian stocks increased as US President Trump adopted an unexpectedly moderate stance on international trade. Market speculation increased regarding potential corporate benefits from his policies. Bond yields continued declining from recent peaks.

Investor Activity

Foreign portfolio investors were in selling mode, offloading shares worth Rs 5,920 crore on Tuesday. In contrast, domestic institutional investors maintained buying activity, acquiring equities valued at Rs 3,500 crore.

Foreign institutional investors' net short position expanded to Rs 3.49 lakh crore on Tuesday, showing an increase from Rs 3.33 lakh crore recorded on Monday.
