CtrlS Datacenters Unveils Ambitious 600MW Datacentre Park in Hyderabad
HYDERABAD: In a significant move to bolster India's digital infrastructure, CtrlS Datacenters, a leading rated-4 datacenter company based in Hyderabad, has announced plans to establish a sprawling datacentre park in Chandanvelly. This state-of-the-art facility is set to feature an impressive IT load capacity of 600MW, sprawling over 40 acres.
For its initial phase, the project has secured a sanctioned power capacity of 250 MW. It aims to incorporate a dedicated gas insulated substation (GIS), scalable up to 900 MW, ensuring uninterrupted operations through redundant power availability. The park will also host mission-critical operation centers, administrative offices, and customer collaboration spaces.
The CtrlS Chandanvelly datacentre park is designed to house multiple high and ultra-high density, AI-ready, interconnected datacenter buildings. With a potential capacity exceeding 600 MW IT load upon full development, these buildings are engineered for flexible ultra-high density rack configurations, supporting up to 135 KW per rack and immersion cooling up to 300 KW per rack, equipped with cutting-edge cooling technologies.
Advanced cooling systems, including free air-cooling, direct liquid cooling, and immersion cooling, are to be utilized to achieve an annual power usage effectiveness (PUE) between 1.12 and 1.32. Additionally, the buildings will feature solar module facades on western and southern elevations for thermal regulation, green power generation, and aesthetic enhancement.
Sridhar Pinnapureddy, Chairman of CtrlS Datacenters Ltd, highlighted the strategic importance of this expansion, noting Telangana's emergence as an economic powerhouse in India. "Our new datacenter park will catalyze the growth of data-driven and technology businesses in the region," he stated.
Currently, CtrlS Datacenters operates three facilities in Hyderabad and boasts a combined datacentre capacity of 250MW across major Indian cities. With plans to expand to GIFT City Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, and Guwahati, Hyderabad is fast becoming one of the country's most dynamic datacentre markets, further enhanced by its seismic zone-2 status for disaster recovery services.
