Empowering Women Entrepreneurs: Devbhumi Udyam Conclave Makes History in Dehradun

The inaugural Devbhumi Udyam: Financing Women from Hills to Horizon conclave was a landmark event held at Hotel Aketa, Dehradun. Organized by the Uttarakhand State Rural Livelihood Mission (USRLM) in collaboration with MicroSave Consulting (MSC), the conclave aimed to tackle the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in rural Uttarakhand, focusing on scaling their businesses and enhancing access to finance.

Manuj Goel, IAS, additional secretary of rural development & agriculture, CEO of USRLM, and project director of REAP, graced the event with his presence. The conclave also saw participation from prominent representatives of the Gates Foundation, RBI, NABARD, SLBC, and leading financial institutions, who shared valuable insights on supporting women-led enterprises.

Discussions revolved around creating a supportive ecosystem for women entrepreneurs, improving credit access, and promoting sustainable business growth. Success stories of women entrepreneurs from the region were highlighted, celebrating their achievements and excellence.

USRLM, under the National Rural Livelihoods Mission, is dedicated to poverty alleviation and creating self-employment opportunities for rural communities. MSC, with its expertise in financial inclusion, livelihood development, and social impact across over 70 countries, plays a crucial role in supporting these initiatives.
