Eurozone Trade Surplus Climbs in November
The Eurozone witnessed a notable increase in its international trade surplus in goods, reaching €16.4 billion in November. This marks a significant rise from October's revised figure of €8.6 billion, although it is slightly lower than the €18.2 billion surplus recorded in November 2023, according to the latest report from Eurostat.
Trade Figures Across the European Union
Across the entire European Union, the trade surplus for November was reported at €14.3 billion. This figure represents a decrease from the €17.2 billion surplus observed during the same period in the previous year.
Export and Import Dynamics
In the Eurozone, exports for November totaled €248.3 billion, experiencing a 1.6% decrease compared to the previous year. On the other hand, imports to the region saw a 1% decline year-over-year, amounting to €231.9 billion.
For the EU as a whole, exports stood at €223.1 billion, marking a 1.2% decrease on an annual basis. Meanwhile, imports to the bloc saw a slight increase of 0.1% compared to the same period in 2023, reaching €208.8 billion.
