Stellantis Reports 9% Decline in Q4 Shipments, Yet Shows Signs of Recovery

Global Shipment Overview

Stellantis NV has announced its fourth-quarter global shipment figures for 2024, revealing a total of 1.395 million units. This represents a 9% decrease compared to the same period last year. However, this marks a significant improvement from the 20% decline observed in the third quarter.

Factors Behind the Rebound

The company has pointed to completed inventory reduction efforts in the United States and the launch of new products in Europe as key factors in this rebound. Notably, the introduction of the Citroen C3/e-C3 has filled production gaps in the B-segment, contributing to the positive shift.

Regional Performance

In North America, shipments fell by 28%, largely due to inventory adjustments that reduced dealer stock by 80,000 units. Meanwhile, Europe saw a 6% decline in shipments. Despite this, the region recorded 90,000 orders for the new Citroen C3/e-C3 and over 140,000 orders for next-generation STLA Medium models, such as the Peugeot 3008.
