Sales Sector Continues to Dominate Recruitment Demand
For the third consecutive year, the sales sector has emerged as the leader in recruitment demand, according to the 2024-2025 Recruitment Trends report by TopCV. Businesses focusing on market growth and expansion are particularly keen on hiring sales professionals with two to three years of experience. The peak recruitment periods identified are March-April and July-August. However, a significant 22% of businesses indicated that sales personnel would be the first to be laid off in the event of downsizing.
IT Sector Faces Recruitment Challenges
The IT sector is also experiencing high demand for professionals with two to three years of experience. However, 55% of businesses report difficulties in recruiting highly skilled IT personnel. The competition for IT talent is intense, especially from large corporations and startups offering attractive salaries and work environments. IT professionals with foreign language skills are in even higher demand, with a 35% year-on-year increase in the first ten months of the previous year.
Discrepancy Between Employee and Employer Expectations
The study highlights a significant gap between employee and employer expectations. While 68% of employees prioritize compensation, only 22% of businesses consider it a critical factor. This discrepancy underscores the need for businesses to align more closely with workers' expectations regarding benefits, training, and career progression.
AI Adoption and the Importance of Critical Thinking
Approximately 34% of businesses expect 31-50% of their employees to adopt AI in their roles. Despite this, two-thirds of businesses affirm that critical thinking and creativity remain paramount for personal development, areas where AI does not excel.
