Spanish Industrial Production Takes a Hit

In a recent report released by Spain's statistical office INE, it was revealed that the country's industrial production experienced a 0.8% decrease in November compared to the previous month.

Sector-wise Breakdown

The production of capital goods saw a significant drop of 2.8%, while energy output wasn't far behind with a 1.9% decline month on month. However, not all sectors faced a downturn. The production of consumer goods rose by 1.1%, and intermediate goods production saw a modest increase of 0.3%.

Year-on-Year Comparison

When compared to the same period last year, the industrial production index fell by 3.4%. Even after adjusting for seasonal and calendar effects, there was a slight decrease of 0.4%.
