Germany's Trade Surplus Climbs in November
In a recent report by the Federal Statistical Office Destatis, Germany's trade surplus for November was announced at €19.7 billion. This marks a notable increase from October's €13.4 billion, though it's a slight decrease from the €21.1 billion recorded in November 2023.
Exports and Imports Overview
Adjusted for calendar and seasonal factors, Germany's goods exports reached €127.3 billion, showing a 2.1% monthly increase but a 3.5% annual decline. On the other hand, imports were valued at €107.6 billion, experiencing a 3.3% monthly decrease but a 2.9% annual increase.
Trade with EU and Non-EU Countries
Exports to the European Union saw a 1.7% decrease from October, totaling €67.8 billion, while imports fell by 4.4% to €55.0 billion. Conversely, exports to non-EU countries rose by 6.9% month-on-month to €59.5 billion, with imports decreasing by 2.1% to €52.6 billion.
