Asian Stock Indexes Mostly Gain
On Monday, most Asian stock indexes experienced gains after the release of new economic reports. The private sectors in Australia, Japan, and China continued to expand in December, with China's business activity showing a faster improvement compared to the other two economies.
Market Movements
By 3:18 am CET, the Hang Seng had increased by 0.15%, the Kospi Composite jumped 1.52%, and the S&P/ASX 200 rose by 0.12%. Shortly after, the Shanghai Composite added 0.16% and the Shenzhen Composite gained 0.56%. However, the Nikkei 225 was an exception, recording a 1.12% loss at 3:20 am CET.

At 3:21 am CET, the dollar traded 0.18% higher against the yen, selling for 157.635.
