Bajaj Auto Reports a 1% Sales Decline in December 2024

NEW DELHI: Bajaj Auto announced a minor decrease in total sales for December 2024, with figures dropping to 3,23,125 units compared to the previous year's 3,26,806 units. This information was disclosed in a regulatory filing by the company.

Two-Wheeler Sales See a 4% Drop

The company highlighted a 4% decline in two-wheeler sales, which stood at 2,72,173 units last month against 2,83,001 units in December 2023. Domestic two-wheeler sales were particularly affected, showing a 19% decrease to 1,28,335 units from 1,58,370 units in the same month a year ago.

Exports and Commercial Vehicle Sales on the Rise

On a brighter note, exports of two-wheelers increased by 15% to 1,43,838 units from 1,24,631 units in December 2023. Additionally, total commercial vehicle sales experienced a 16% growth, reaching 50,952 units in December 2024 from 43,805 units the previous year.
