Waaree Renewable Technologies Achieves Landmark Solar Project

NEW DELHI: In a significant leap towards renewable energy, Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd (WRTL) announced on Tuesday the acquisition of its largest-ever order, a 2 GW solar project, from Sunbreeze Renewables Nine Pvt Ltd, a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of Jindal Renewables. This ambitious project is set to be implemented in Bikaner, Rajasthan, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices to boost energy efficiency and maximize generation.

Strategic Collaboration for a Greener Future

WRTL, a subsidiary of India's largest solar PV module manufacturer, Waaree Energies Ltd, has been entrusted with the comprehensive Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) responsibilities for this project. The collaboration underscores a shared vision for sustainable development and clean energy solutions.

Bharat Saxena, President of Jindal Renewables, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "This initiative marks the beginning of our journey towards lower emission steel production and a commitment to renewable energy solutions."

Commitment to Renewable Energy

Viren C Doshi, Director of WRTL, shared his excitement about the collaboration, emphasizing the project's significance in advancing renewable energy in India. Jindal Renewables is on a path to becoming a leader in renewable energy projects, with plans to develop around 12 GW of renewable energy assets, storage facilities, and green hydrogen production facilities by 2030.

WRTL, spearheading the Solar EPC business under the Waaree Group, boasts a commendable track record with over 10,000 solar projects and a cumulative installation of more than 1.82 GW.
