Azerbaijan Airlines Halts More Russian Flights Amid Safety Concerns

Azerbaijan Airlines Suspends Additional Flights to Russia

Following a tragic plane crash in Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan Airlines has announced the suspension of three more flights to Russia. This decision adds to the list of previously halted routes, as investigations into the Embraer 190 crash continue.

The airline's press service has confirmed that flights to Vladikavkaz, Nizhny Novgorod, and Saratov will not operate until the investigation is complete. This move comes amidst growing concerns over potential external interference in the crash, which resulted in the loss of 38 lives.

Previously, the carrier had already suspended flights to several other Russian cities, including Volgograd, Grozny, Makhachkala, Mineralnye Vody, Samara, Sochi, and Ufa. The airline is taking these precautionary measures to ensure passenger safety and to aid in the thorough investigation of the crash.
