India's Manufacturing Sector on the Rise
According to Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran, global supply chains are increasingly favoring India, emphasizing resilience over efficiency. The Tata Group is set to create five lakh manufacturing jobs in the next five years, focusing on batteries, semiconductors, electric vehicles, solar equipment, and other critical hardware.
Strategic Investments and Optimism for the Future
Chandrasekaran expressed optimism for 2025, highlighting the strategic bets made in hi-tech industries and manufacturing. With the initiation of over seven new manufacturing facilities, including India's first semiconductor fab in Dholera, Gujarat, and a semiconductor OSAT plant in Assam, India's manufacturing capacity is expanding rapidly.

Significant milestones include TCS and Tejas Networks delivering the first indigenous 4G telecom stack for BSNL, Air India's successful integration of four airlines, and the Taj brand retaining its status as the world's strongest hotel brand. These achievements underscore the Tata Group's commitment to innovation and excellence in the global market.
