Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) Inc. recently declared its intention to donate $1 million to President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration on January 20, 2025. This announcement followed Ford Motors Company's pledge of the same amount in cash.

In addition to Toyota and Ford, major technology companies such as OpenAI, Amazon.com Inc., and Meta Platforms Inc. are also reportedly planning to contribute $1 million each to the inauguration.

Simultaneously, Toyota officially initiated merger talks with Honda Motor on Monday. The goal is to establish a joint holding company by August 2026, marking a significant development in the automotive industry.
