Key Markets in Asia-Pacific Show Positive Signs
On Monday, the Asia-Pacific markets witnessed a predominantly upward trend, fueled by growing speculation surrounding the anticipated merger discussions between Honda and Nissan, which are set to commence today.
Japan's Nikkei 225 surged by 1.26% at 7:21 am CET. Similarly, Hong Kong's Hang Seng increased by 0.57%, and South Korea's Kospi jumped by 1.60%. Meanwhile, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 ended the day 1.67% higher. However, mainland China's markets diverged, with the Shanghai Composite down by 0.56% and the Shenzhen Composite falling by 2.28% at the same time.
The dollar experienced a 0.13% rise against the yen, trading at 156.5585 at 7:20 am CET.
