Mirchandani, an alumnus of The Wharton School and NYU Stern School of Business, established Drums Food International in 2013, the parent company of Epigamia. He successfully introduced flavored Greek yogurt to Indian retail shelves, making it a popular health snack choice among consumers.

Under his leadership, Epigamia expanded its product range to include artisanal curd, smoothies, milkshakes, plant-based yogurts, and lactose-free curd. The brand is now backed by investors such as Verlinvest and DSG Consumer Partners.

The senior leadership at Epigamia, led by COO Ankur Goel and co-founder Uday Thakker, will continue to manage the company's day-to-day operations with the full support of the board of directors, including Mirchandani's family. "All of us at Epigamia family will deeply mourn this loss. Rohan was our mentor, friend, and leader. We remain steadfast in our determination to carry forward his dream with strength and vigour," Goel and Thakker expressed in a joint statement.

Harsh Mariwala, chairman at Marico, acknowledged Mirchandani's significant contribution to the entrepreneurial community and pledged to support the company's leadership in advancing Mirchandani's legacy.
