NEW DELHI - Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) has announced the acquisition of a substantial solar project valued at approximately Rs 1,200 crore. This marks a significant milestone for the company as it continues to expand its footprint in the renewable energy sector.

Sterling and Wilson Renewable bags solar project worth Rs 1,200 crore

The project involves the design, engineering, procurement, and construction of Balance of System (BOS) for a 500 MW (AC) solar PV project located in Gujarat. Additionally, the order includes comprehensive operations and maintenance (O&M) services for a duration of three years.

Amit Jain, the Global CEO of Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating that it will significantly contribute to India's, and particularly Gujarat's, shift towards clean energy. He emphasized the importance of focusing on sustainable energy options to address climate challenges while simultaneously enhancing energy security, fostering job creation, and driving economic growth.
