US Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Show Positive Growth
According to the latest report from the US Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), personal consumption expenditures (PCE) experienced a notable monthly increase of 0.4% or $81.3 billion in November.
The PCE price index demonstrated a 0.1% rise on a monthly basis and a 2.4% increase year-on-year. Notably, when excluding food and energy, the index advanced by 0.1% on a monthly basis and 2.8% on an annual one, indicating a steady growth trend.
In addition to the rise in spending, personal income also saw a 0.5% or $71.1 billion increase compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, disposable personal income (DPI) recorded a 0.3% or $61.1 billion rise, reflecting a positive economic outlook.
