Swiss Investigation: Years of Mismanagement Led to Credit Suisse's Collapse

Swiss Parliamentary Investigation Committee's Findings

The Swiss Parliamentary Investigation Committee (PUK) has released its findings on the Credit Suisse collapse, pointing the finger at 'years of mismanagement' as the primary cause. The report highlights the deteriorating financial situation throughout 2022, marked by significant liquidity outflows and a near "insolvency" from the beginning of October to the end of December.

Despite these critical issues, the PUK emphasized that there was no misconduct on the part of the authorities. Instead, they credit the authorities with preventing a global financial crisis.
