BoJ Governor Ueda: Economic Recovery Faces Persistent Uncertainties

Bank of Japan's Policy Decisions Amid Economic Uncertainties

In a recent press conference, Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda highlighted the country's moderate economic recovery, while emphasizing the ongoing uncertainties that persist. Ueda explained that the decision to maintain interest rates unchanged was influenced by several factors, including wage trends, the uncertainties of overseas economies, and the policies of the upcoming US administration.

Furthermore, Ueda pointed out that the next monetary policy meeting is scheduled for January, and the interest rate decision will be a comprehensive assessment. He added that it remains unclear whether incoming data will be sufficient to support a rate hike in January.
