Nomura Securities Fined for JGB Futures Transactions Amid Regulatory Scrutiny

Regulatory Penalties Imposed on Nomura Securities

Nomura Holdings disclosed on Wednesday that its securities unit has been fined 30 million yen ($195,198) by the Japan Securities Dealers Association for Japanese government bond (JGB) futures transactions executed in March 2021.

The Japan Securities Dealers Association's action follows an earlier administrative monetary penalty of 21.76 million yen imposed by the Financial Services Agency of Japan in October for the same transactions.
