Dollar's Performance Against the Dong

Dollar vs Dong

Vietcombank reported a slight decline in the dollar's value against the Vietnamese dong, selling at VND25,465, a 0.02% decrease from the previous day. On the black market, the greenback saw a more significant drop of 0.04%, trading at VND25,650.

The State Bank of Vietnam adjusted its reference rate downward by 0.02% to VND24,253. This adjustment marks a 4.28% increase in the dollar's value against the dong since the beginning of the year.

Globally, the dollar maintained a two-week high against the yen, influenced by an anticipated U.S. inflation reading that could impact Federal Reserve interest rate decisions, as reported by Reuters.

In India, the rupee hit an all-time low due to increased dollar demand in the non-deliverable forwards market, though intervention by the Reserve Bank of India helped mitigate losses.

The dollar's index against major currencies remained steady, reflecting its stability against the yen and other key currencies.
