Indonesia's Budget Deficit for Jan-Nov
According to Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Indonesia's budget deficit for the period from January to November amounted to 401.8 trillion rupiah ($25.27 billion), which is equivalent to 1.81% of the country's gross domestic product (GDP). This figure was announced during a recent press conference.
During the same period, total revenue increased by 1.3% year-on-year to 2,492.7 trillion rupiah ($156.63 billion), while spending rose by 15.3% to 2,894.5 trillion rupiah. Minister Sri Mulyani expressed optimism about sustaining the growth of revenue moving forward, emphasizing the need to maintain the positive momentum.
Previously, the government had projected the full-year 2024 budget deficit to be at 2.7% of GDP.
