China and US Must Cooperate to Prevent Economic Conflict, Says Xi Jinping

Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of cooperation between China and the United States, stating that trade, tariff, and sci-tech wars would bring no winners. Speaking in Beijing during a meeting with leaders of international economic organizations, Xi highlighted that such conflicts contradict historical trends and economic principles.

Xi urged the US to work with China to strengthen bilateral ties, promoting stability and sustainable growth. He also expressed China's readiness to engage in dialogue, enhance cooperation, and address differences constructively.

In addition, Xi affirmed China's confidence in meeting its 2024 economic growth targets, describing the country as "the biggest engine of world economic growth." His remarks come a month before US President-elect Donald Trump begins his term in the White House.
