Ripple's XRP Surges Past Solana in Market Cap
Ripple's XRP has made significant strides in the cryptocurrency market, overtaking Solana (SOL) in market capitalization. This surge comes after a week of intense trading activity and renewed investor confidence, pushing XRP's market cap to over $117 billion, solidifying its position as the fourth-largest cryptocurrency. Solana, on the other hand, now trails with a market cap of $111 billion.
The growth of XRP can be attributed to several factors. Whale activity, optimistic regulatory developments, and the anticipation of Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin launch on December 4 have all contributed to this impressive rise. Additionally, XRP's trading volume reached $18 billion in the last 24 hours, indicating a surge in market interest.
As of 2:48 pm ET, XRP experienced an 8.85% increase, trading at $2.12. Meanwhile, Bitcoin saw a modest 0.59% gain, trading at $97,039, while Ethereum dipped slightly, down 0.16% to $3,700.49.
