Asia's Stock Markets Show Mixed Performance Amid Economic Data from China and Japan

On Monday, major stock indexes across the Asia-Pacific region experienced mixed trading results, influenced by recent economic data from China and Japan.

China's consumer price growth in November fell short of expectations, while Japan's third-quarter GDP grew by 0.3% on a quarter-on-quarter basis. These figures have had a direct impact on regional market performance.

In Australia, the S&P/ASX 200 index dropped by 0.11% at 3:03 am CET. Similarly, South Korea's Kospi Composite index declined by 1.68% shortly after. Meanwhile, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index fell by 0.28% at 3:06 am CET. On the Chinese mainland, the Shanghai Composite index saw a slight increase of 0.21%, while the Shenzhen Composite index remained flat.

Japan's Nikkei 225 index bucked the trend, gaining 0.24% at 3:18 am CET. The dollar traded flat against the yen at ¥149.9635 at 3:19 am CET.
