Survey Reveals Salary Expectations and Job Market Trends

A recent survey conducted by the Hanoi Employment Service Center has revealed that 72% of jobseekers in Hanoi are targeting a monthly salary between $200 and $400. Additionally, over 15% of respondents expressed interest in positions offering between VND10-20 million per month.

The survey also highlighted the current job market landscape, with 57% of the 12,000 job openings posted by businesses offering salaries ranging from VND5-10 million. Furthermore, 15% of these positions provided salaries between VND10-20 million.

The center noted that the labor market typically stabilizes towards the end of the year, with an increase in job availability and low turnover rates. This trend is attributed to businesses in sectors such as retail, services, logistics, construction, and manufacturing expanding their payrolls to meet peak holiday season demands.

Moreover, the survey predicted a rise in job postings for the remainder of the year, as businesses remain optimistic about their operations in the coming months. The retail and manufacturing sectors are expected to lead in hiring, while tech, finance, and banking sectors may see a reduction in hiring activities.

Interestingly, there has been a 10% decrease in the number of people seeking unemployment benefits in the first 10 months of the year, with only 66,500 applications compared to 73,500 in the same period last year.
