Gold Prices on the Rise
The Saigon Jewelry Company has reported a significant increase in gold prices, with the price of gold bars rising by 0.47% to VND85.8 million per tael. A tael, equivalent to 37.5 grams or 1.2 ounces, has seen a notable uptick in value.
Additionally, the price of gold rings has also experienced a rise, increasing by 0.36% to VND84.7 million per tael. This upward trend in gold prices is not limited to the Saigon Jewelry Company, but is also reflected globally.
According to Reuters, global gold prices have risen, supported by a dip in the dollar and escalating geopolitical tensions. However, despite this rise, gold prices are still on track for their biggest monthly decline in over a year following Donald Trump's U.S. election victory.
Spot gold has increased by 0.8% to $2,661.14 per ounce, while U.S. gold futures have also gained 0.8% to $2,660.80. This trend suggests that gold remains a valuable asset in times of economic and political uncertainty.
