XRP's Dramatic Rally Leads to Market Cap Surpassing Solana
Ripple's XRP has made significant strides in the cryptocurrency market, overtaking Solana (SOL) in market capitalization following a week of intense trading activity and renewed investor confidence. As of Sunday, XRP's market cap surged past $117 billion, solidifying its position as the fourth-largest cryptocurrency, with Solana trailing at $111 billion.
This remarkable growth can be attributed to several factors, including whale activity, optimistic regulatory developments, and the anticipation of Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin launch, which is expected on December 4. Additionally, XRP's trading volume hit $18 billion in the last 24 hours, signaling a heightened level of market interest.
As of 2:48 pm ET, XRP rose 8.85% to trade at $2.12. Bitcoin saw a modest 0.59% gain, trading at $97,039, while Ethereum dipped slightly, down 0.16% to $3,700.49.
