Asia-Pacific Markets Follow Wall Street's Lead
On Tuesday, major stock indexes in the Asia-Pacific region mostly traded higher, mirroring the gains seen on Wall Street. Investors in the region are eagerly anticipating the release of key economic data later this week.
Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rose by 0.67% at 3:01 am CET, while South Korea's Kospi Composite surged by 1.64% just a minute later. In contrast, Hong Kong's Hang Seng decreased by 0.27% at 3:03 am CET. On the Chinese mainland, the Shanghai Composite and Shenzhen Composite both saw modest gains of 0.13% and 0.06%, respectively. Japan's Nikkei 225 climbed by 1.72% at 3:05 am CET.
The dollar strengthened by 0.21% against the yen, trading at ¥149.8475 at 3:06 am CET.
